An award to share!!!

It's always a lovely surprise to receive an award.  Thanks to the lovely Jenny for brightening my week.
In accepting I had to sign up to a few little rules...

1) You have been tagged, do you want to accept? YES! then create a post on your blog and post the love blog photo.
2) Link back to the person who gave you the award and say if you accept.
3) Choose 3-5 of your favourite blogs to tag, link these in your post too and tell the lucky people they have been tagged.
As the aim of this award is to bring unknown good blogs to light, please don't tag somebody with 3000 followers.

Ok, so this is difficult bit! I Love all the blogs I visit and it's so difficult to pick just a few...

Thank you all so much for the inspiration and support!

I'll be back tomorrow with my Pink Petticoat make for this week, enjoy your evening.

Craftwork Cards - A for Acetate

Here's the card I've entered for the Craftwork Cards A for Acetate compettion.  All you need to do is create a card using their acetate and email it to them.  More info is on their Blog.  I've used one of their scallop wraps to make a circle card and an acetate flower as the focal point.  Added some stitching and embossing for texture. The flower centre is made from some scallop circles of of tissue paper attached together with a small brad and fluffed up a bit!
Papers and tag: MME Pretty Please - thanks for those Lynda x
Scallop wrap: Craftwork Cards
Acetate flower: Craftwork Cards
Ribbon and button from stash

I have an award to share too today. It's from my lovely blogging bud Jane (Milliesmarvels).

To accept it I have to tell you 10 things that make me happy, well it's just the simple things in life that make me happy.
1. Family
2. Cooking
3. Crafting
4 Friends
5. Learning a new skill
6 Crossing things off my 'to do' list
7 Internet shopping
8 A tidy house
9 Visit to the hairdressers
10. Gardening

I also have to pass it on to 10 peeps, but you know how it is, that's the hard bit and choosing just ten would be so difficult so please feel free to nab this one if you haven't got it already.

Get Funky - February

A new month means a new Get Funky challenge.  This months challenge has been set by Anice, the fab designer of all things Funky Hand.
I love Crafting!
Which we know you all do, so you can create anything you like and as long as it has at least one Funky Hand paper or extra included on it you can be up for the £20.00 prize voucher.
For my Wordbook/notebook I've used the 'Dreams Come True' CD.

I had a nice surprise yesterday, an award from my blogging bud Jane, I was so chuffed I was smiling from ear to ear.

So now I have to say 5 things about myself and pass it on to 5 others, keeping the smiles going.
  1. My real name is Vicky, my Nan's name was Doris (Dolly) that's where the blog name comes from.
  2. I was born and have lived in London all my life.
  3. I'm afraid of the dark.  That's where living in London helps, it's never completely dark!
  4. I wish I could draw.
  5. I bought a Bind it all 2 weeks ago and haven't got it out of the box yet!
I'm passing this award on to 5 bloggers whose blogs don't just make me smile but green with envy ;) lol
  1. Lynda for her brilliant and original designs
  2. Victoria for her great eye for colour and gorgeous colouring
  3. Fink for her whimsical cards and fun blogging style
  4. Chris for her elegant use of white space
  5. Dotty Jo  whose fabulous blog I've only just discovered

An Award!!

This is my second award and I'm most honoured to have received this one from the lovely Lynda. Every time I visit Lynda's blog I'm inspired and to think that in the short time I've been around I have inspired someone as talented as her is a real compliment.
Now comes the hard bit, for me anyway, who to pass it on to. Well, I can't make decisions at the best of times and this takes me back to my schooldays, picking teams for netball and I know how I felt being one of the last to be picked. So if you're reading this post please feel free to take this award as I'm sure you've inspired me in some way. As I'm still a new kid on the block I get inspiration from every blog I visit.
