Red White and Blue...

Here's this week's make for the Bubbly Scrumptious Blog.  When I set out to make this card I didn't have a red, white and blue colour combination in mind, it just happened.  I must have been influenced by all the red white and blue in the shops.

It's the first time out for this embossing folder, a universal one from Craft Concepts called In Sttitches.  Lovin' the effect, saves getting the sewing machine out!
Check out the Blog for a full supplies list and a step by step guide to make it HERE.

Keep Calm and Carry On...

It's time for another challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. and the theme is a recipe. All you need to do to enter is use the following on your card or project - new projects please.
a button
a piece of fabric or similar
a stamped sentiment

I've made a lavender bag, I stamped the 'Keep Calm' sentiment, onto white fabric using Versacraft ink, and added a twill ribbon bow and vintage button to pretty it up a bit. If I made another I'd add a lace edging for a bit more prettiness!  It now sits on my craft bench as a gentle reminder!

Would be great to see you join in this time.  Check out the Let's Craft and Create Blog for all the details, some fabulous inspiration from the Design Team and the prize up for grabs for one lucky winner.

Sunburst Card...

We're playing catch up over on Bubbly Scrumptious.  So here's another of my makes for the Blog.  A sunburst card.  There's a Step by Step guide to make it and the supplies list over HERE on the Blog.

Short and sweet post from me this evening.  Thanks for stopping by and all your lovely comments, I really do appreciate it :)x

What's Cookin' ...

Just stopped by today to share my latest make for the Bubbly Scrumptious blog.  I've a lot of recipes cut from magazines my favourites are these recipes from Style At Home magazine.  I love this mag, as well as recipes it's full of home décor ideas to buy and to make, all for just £1.99.
The recipes are quick and easy, ideal for weekday meals.  The only problem for me is once you cut them out of the magazine they're pretty small and easily lost so I came up with a solution.  I created some recipe cards and a giant wooden peg holder.  I've tested it out in the kitchen and it works perfectly.  The peg is really stable and I no longer have to hunt around for a teeny tiny recipe amongst the veg peelings!

There's a Step by Step guide to make the set over HERE on the Bubbly Scrumptious Blog.

Thank you flower...

I've been totally absorbed with crochet this last week, that's why it's been quiet here. Blogging and card making have come second to my new passion.  There's yarn, hooks and crochet patterns all over the house and I've bored my followers on Pinterest by adding around  50 crochet 'pins' within a couple of days!

Now let's get back to the matter in hand. It's time for another challenge over at Let's Craft and Create. and the theme is

ANYTHING GOES

Would be great to see you join in this time all you need to do is make a new card or project to  enter.

Happy Day...

Did you know there have been a few changes over on The Ribbon Girl Blog.  There's now 2 challenges each month.  As well as the monthly colour challenge on the 3rd Sunday of the month there's now a monthly card challenge which launches on the 1st Sunday of every month.

Today being the first Sunday of June, it's time for the 1st card challenge, which is to use ribbon or lace on your card.  Easy peasy so I hope you can join in with us.  As always there's some fabulous prizes for up for grabs with something a little extra this month as it's the Queen's Diamond Jubilee weekend here in the UK.

Check out the Ribbon Girl Blog for all the details plus some gorgeous cards from the Card Challenge Design Team.

For my card I've made a Pom Pom flower with Tiny Pom Pom Trim.  Easy to make all you need is a length of trim and a glue gun.

Just coil the trim adding a blob of glue here and there to secure it as you go. I find hot glue works best because you get an instant fix.

When your happy with the size of the  flower, cut off the trim and secure the end to the back.

Now adhere a circle of cardstock to the back of the flower and you're ready to add to your card, layout, hairslide...the list goes on!
