Inspirational Card Sketch 18

Just love the ICS sketches, yet another great one this week and lots of inspiration from the design team, why not play along!
The papers are from the Funky Christmas Time download, so versatile they can be used for lots of other occasions too! The flower I made using a cuttlebug die, chipboard (cereal packet!) and acetate. Thanks for looking x

Doodling!

' Doodling' is the Basic Grey challenge this week, something I've not tried before so it was a challenge, quite enjoyed it once I got over the fear of getting it wrong! I did doodle the stitching first too but it didn't look quite right so the needle and thread came out!

Just love these doodlebug rubons, I'll have to order some more soon, my vowels are running low. Suppose I could use txt spk, 'HPBD' could work! Thanks for looking x
Btw papers are BG Sultry.

Inspirational Card Sketch 17

Yet another fabby sketch by the talented Dawn Baty at ICS. So pleased to be on the design team from June!!! Thanks for the opportunity Dawn.

Really enjoyed creating with this one. The paper is one from the Kate Knight Hint of Pink range, just love her designs, they're by Dovecraft... The paperclip was from WHSmith, Doodlebug rubons and velvet brad, and Bazzil Border.
I also had a play with my new making memories slot punch and hammer there'll be slots in everything now, just loved using that hammer! Thankfully the sun came out long enough for me to take the pic, thanks for looking xx

Mr whippy!

This weeks Basic Grey challenge is 'ice cream' as it's nearly summer. Well one of my favourites is a Mr whippy ice cream cornet with a cadbury's chocolate flake (we call them a '99' in my neck of the woods)!
So I kept the card mainly white (like the ice cream) and added a little brown to represent the choc flake. The BG paper is an Offbeat one. I've also used Cuttlebug distressed stripes embossing folder - it's always reminded me of a chocolate flake!
More good news for me I've been featured on Inspirational, really chuffed about that. Thanks for looking x

Completely bowled over !!!!

I'm really pleased to announce that I've been chosen to join the Funky Hand design team!!!

Just couldn't let the opportunity go with out a few thank yous (feel like I'm at the soap awards!!).

I'd like to thank all my lovely followers with a special thank you to Lisa at Craftbugs who was my very first follower and gave me lots of inspiration and encouragement with her generous comments and to Terrie B for her constant inspiration.

Thanks to Allison for giving me the heads up on the DT call - I don't think I would have applied without it!

And finally thanks to Anice for the opportunity and the rest of the Funky Hand gang for already making me feel so welcome.

Dreams really do come true....

Got this ticket stamp as a freebie with 'The Craft Stamper" mag this month and used it as a starting point for this weeks sketch at ICS. Yet another fab sketch from the talented Dawn. This is what I came up with....
Not entirely happy with it still something missing methinks! Probably because it's such a dull uninspiring day here today and my crafting corner is in the conservatory overlooking the garden I can't help but let the weather affect my mood!
Anyway , back to the card - the paper is another Kate Knight design from the Eastern Blooms range and Coredinations whitewash., other bits and bobs from my craft box. Hope the weather is better wherever you are! Thanks for looking x

Believe...

The Basic Grey Challenge this week is a fab sketch from Anthea. I always enjoy visiting Anthea's blog there's lots of inspiration and something a bit different. Check it out for yourself Here.
I really enjoyed working with this one - learning a lot about proportion and layering, something I've been a bit wary of before.
I kept it quite true to the sketch just swapping the sentiment with the embellishment. The papers are all BG sultry. The sentiment stamp is by Inkadinkado. American Crafts chipboard flower and button from stash...
Thanks for looking x

Inspirational Card Sketch 15

Another inspiring sketch at ICS this week that I couldn't wait to get going with and luckily the Kate Knight paper pack I ordered on Ebay arrived in the post yesterday so I could use it straightaway!
The designs are so fresh and pretty I didn't want to cover it with too much embellishment so I just used some pink stitching to set it off and a simple felt flower with velvet brad for the centre. The scallop card blank is from Papermania and the sentiment is an Inkadinkado stamp. The photo is a bit dull - no sun today! Thanks for looking x

Funky Hand DT Call

Here are the 2 cards I am most proud of! They were both entered for blog challenges, original blog posts HERE and HERE Would love the challenge of being a member of the DT and working with funky hand designs. Thanks for looking x

Black and Grey + 1

Yes that's the Basic Grey challenge this week, to use Black and Grey and one other colour. For me black and grey conjures up a modern look so I've used one of the Offbeat papers to continue the modern theme and hopefully created a modern card!

The butterfly is a free download from Patti Picklicious that I've printed on grey shimmery paper. The flower template, I've had a while now and can't remember where it's from. The felt flower and button is from Bloomin Felt. For the sentiment I've used Doodlebug Rub ons, a first for me, they were a lot easier to use than I remember 'transfers' being when I was small :) ! Thanks for looking x

Inspirational Card Sketch 14

Another great sketch from Dawn at ICS - truly inspirational. Here's my take on it...

The papers and are KandCo and Marks Paper company, the sentiment stamp is Heidi Swapp. I've also used Papermania adhesive gems, lace and buton from stash and some stitching of course! Thanks for looking x
