Going Vintage...

This week over on the Bubbly Scrumptious blog it's Product Focus week. This time we're focusing on  Ranger tags and Maya Road keychains and the theme is 'Valentine'.
Each Daily Designer creates their project using these products, together with any other products of their choice.
As my project was going live today, after the 14th, I didn't go for a specific Valentine piece but still kept the love theme going with a romantic keepsake tag.
It's amazing how different our creations are, but still using  the same products, just shows you how versatile your stash can be.  Pop over to the BLOG to see all the Daily Designers' work and if you'd like more details on how I made my tag and a full supplies list then pop over to this PAGE.

Thanks for visiting today and enjoy the rest of your weekend.  I'm off to finish my project for The Ribbon Girls challenge which goes live tomorrow.

A Tag from Scraps...

Phew it's a scorcher today!  I took a welcome break from the heat to make this tag.  Tags  - another great way to use up scraps.  It's for the challenge over at Let's Craft and Create - Tag It!

I tried machine stitching in red rather than my usual white/cream - and I think I like it!

More Dad Stuff...

I saw a tutorial over on the Fiskars blog to make a plant decoration, which got me thinking.  Why not make a  plant gift tag for Father's Day.  I've cut out the flower and leaf shapes using a Fiskars template and stuck the assembled flower on to a wooden kebab stick.  I'm going to write my greeting on the leaf.  Looks good in the Chilli Pepper plant don't you think?

And here's the matching card.  I'm entering them for the Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenges.
Glad all the manly 'Dad' stuff is done, I can get back to making pretty cards again.

Inspirational Card Sketch #51 - A Tag!

It's ICS Tuesday!  and time for another awesome sketch from Dawn.  Our very own Heather is sponsoring with her Fresh Brewed Design images again this week.  For a change I've made a tag, it was inspired by some tags I'd been admiring HERE.
I made the flower by turning and twisting a srip of inked up grungepaper.  Tflx
