Pick click go...

A couple of weeks back I shared the first card I made with the Cricut Mini.  Today, I'm sharing the next batch, this machine is ideal for mass production.
The Craft Room design software has a 'cut it free for a week' deal.  You get to create with a selected cartridge for one week for free!!!  This week the free cut is the Simple Cards cartridge.  There are over 40 designs to choose from, just pick, click, and go.  There you have a clean and simple card ready to put in the post.

I've cut this design in a range of colours, ready to go the next time I need a general Birthday card.
I'll be back tomorrow with my next batch of 'Simple' Cards.

Papercutting made easy...

...with a digital cutting machine.  Yes, I have a Cricut Mini. Although I enjoy paper cutting by hand when I have the time, like when I made this card.  It's so good to have a machine to do the hard work for you.  Especially when I got a last minute request for a card this week.  'An eighteenth birthday card for a non-girlie girl please?".  This is the card I came up with,  I finished it off with an '18'  in the top left-hand corner before it was sent off (another last minute request) but that again was easy with the Cricut.  I'm still finding my way around all the images available with the 'Craft Room' software.  This design is from the 'Celebrate' cartridge, one that comes free with the machine.

I've started simple, but I'll moving up a gear with my next project, there's so many possibilities and I'll be sharing all my makes here on the blog, so watch this space!

Starting out with Papercutting...

Another fortnight has flown by and it's time for another challenge over on the Let's Craft and Create blog an we'd like you to get creative with Swirls.
For my card, I'm learning a new skill - Papercutting.  This is my first attempt, and I'm rather pleased with the result.

I've used a template to get me started.  There are a lot available for free on the Web.  This one is from Inspire Me Papers.  My aim is to draw and cut my own designs eventually!

Check out the blog for more swirly projects from the design team.  Hope you can join in with us, there's a Stampin Up stamp set up for grabs for one lucky winner.

I'll be back soon with my next papercutting project.
