A Stitched and Altered Notebook...

The current challenge over the Ribbon Girl Blog has been running for about a week now and this th's colours are pink, brown and cream.
I went for something a bit different for me this time and had a lot of fun creating this notebook cover with lots of bits and bobs from The Ribbon Girl shop.

Love the top stitch threads from Gutterman that are now in stock, perfect for decorative stitching on cards as well as fabric.  This lush velvet ric rac that I've gathered to make tiny blooms, and tiny brass safety pins just the right size for tags and charms.
I've used an A6 spiral notebook that I've taken apart and rebound with pretty polka dot covers.
Why don't you join in this month, you've got until 3rd March to enter and as usual there's some lovely prizes on offer.  Check out the Ribbon Girl blog for all the details and lots of inspiration from all The Ribbon Girls.

Christmas Lists!...

This time of year I'm forever making lists.  Present Lists, card lists, food lists, the list goes on...see what I did there?! ;)   So for this week's Bubbly Scrumptious project I've made a  'Book of Lists'.  All the details are HERE, But, basically I took a bunch of index cards, made a front and back cover from cardstock, decorated the front and bound them all together with a couple of book rings.  I've even made a pocket inside for receipts...

How organised am I?  It won't last...

Mum's The Word...

Is the theme for Challenge #15 over at Let's Craft and Create.  To make a card/project for Mum or a special lady in your life.
I'm entering this Altered Noteboook.  It started out as an A6 sketch pad.  I carefully removed the cover and decorated with paper strips, lace, ric rac and pearls finishing off with some machine stitching.  A good way to use up your scraps.

Pink Elephant - Polka Dots, Pink and a Bow

My trusty crafty notebook finally fell apart so I ripped out the pages made some new covers from an old cereal packet and stuck it all together with the bind-it-all. I've used this weeks ICS sketch for the layout and some papers from my scrap box.  I do like making stuff from scraps.
I'm entering it for this weeks Pink Elephant recipe challenge to use polka dots, pink and a bow.  Tflx
