I've made some paper stars to fill in the gaps on the Christmas tree.
They're an 8-pointed modular origami star, Robin Star, designed by Maria Sinayskaya. Folded with 8 square sheets of paper and assembled without glue. I used 6cm squares, the finished star measures 8 x 8cm.
You don't need any special origami paper to make them, you can recycle any paper you have lying around the house; maps, newspaper, magazines, wrapping paper.
The diagram and instructions can be found here on www.goorigami.com.
