I used this tutorial to make some Origami Lilies
As with most origami folds you start with a square of paper, the size of that square determines the finished size of the lily.
I experimented with various sizes, colours and weights of paper to get the look I was after, 12" scrapbook paper was too thick and the lilies were untidy and massive!
A recycled magazine gave the best result, a 2017 catalogue from Stoff & Stil, the paper was just the right thickness and the muted colour palette I was looking for.
I attached the finished flowers on to bamboo skewers with hot glue and arranged them in a vintage Denby pottery jug.
