I'm Still Here!

My son kindly reminded me that I hadn't updated my blog for a week, just don't know where the time is going.  So here I am doing as I'm told and updating by blog to let you know I'm still here.

No cards to share, I'm busy making samples for Funky Hand in between making endless cups of tea for the builders - we're having the outside of the house painted!  I can share these lovely toffee choco muffins - a freebie recipe from Asda.  Well worth a try, they're yummy.  I'll be back later in the week, hopefully with a card to share.  :)x

DCM - Sponsored sketch and prizes!

There's a great sketch  from Kathy over at DCM this week along with lots of lovely prizes from Nikki Sivills Scrapbooker.  A name I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more about, fabulous papers and embellishments, I want them all!  One of the prizes has been donated by Sarah's Cards too.  Be sure to check out the DCM blog for all the details and to feast your eyes on the DT cards.
Now on to my card, I needed a quick 'New Home' card so with this sketch and Kirsty Wiseman's - Colour me Crazy CD I had a card within an hour, a record for me!  I liked it so much I made two, another first for me!

DCM - The World is Your Oyster

The latest dare over at DCM is...
The World is Your Oyster

I'd like you to celebrate all the amazing and diverse countries and cultures we have in this world of ours by making cards with a "feel" of any country you like. There's a whole world of possibilities out there, so don't just go for the obvious {wink}

Well I think you can probably guess that I've gone for Italy.  I love the food, the language and the elegance and style of all things italian.
I've used products and taken inspiration from the blogs of two of my favourite card designers.  Kirsty Wiseman and Paula Pascual.  They both have such elegance and style too.

Vintage Sewing for 2 Sketches 4 You

I've had these vintage sewing stamps from Creative Expressions a while now, just couldn't find the right papers to mix in with them but I think these Rose Garden papers from Papermania work quite well.  For the layout I've used this week's fabulous sketch from Kazan over at 2sketches 4you
Now I'm in sewing mode you'll be seeing some more of these stamps in the next few days.  I won't be watching the football!  Tfl :)x

Get Funky with colour

The first day of the month so it's time for another Get Funky challenge. This month Allison has set us the challenge of using the colours Pink, Brown and Cream in our projects.  Well I do love a bit of pink.  I've made a tent card using these lovely papers and balloon digi image from Dreams Come True.
Be sure to check out the Get Funky blog and see the fab and funky creations from my team mates. Why not join in the fun too, there's a £20 voucher to spend at Funky Hand for the winner all the entry details are on the blog.
