Hallowe'en already?

We're getting all spooky over at Pink Petticoat this week.  And if you think we're a little early as it's not even October yet.  Check out the supermarkets - I spied christmas cards and gift sets in Waitrose yesterday!

And get me getting (trying to get) a little fancy with the photos.  I've been taking lessons from Katie her photos are amazing check them out on the Pink Petticoat blog.

Pretty Pastels

Here's the card I made for this weeks Pretty Pastels theme over at Pink Petticoat.  You can see all the amazing projects from the design team HERE.  Do pop over and a have a peek - lots of lovely inspiration.
I made the card blank for this card by folding a sheet of A4 card in half and drawing round a plate - I can't get on with circle cutters!

A card and some news to share!

So pleased to share this news. I'm now part of the Creative Design Team at Pink Petticoat!  Imagine my delight when I heard, especially as the first digi kit I ever bought was a PP one.  To think I wasn't even going to apply, but my DS encouraged me to and I thought I should as I've always encouraged him to 'Go for it'.  So a new crafting chapter for me.  How exciting to have all of Liz Armstrong's fabulous designs to create with, can't wait .  Tfl :)xx

Crafty find...

Sorry no cards to share, we have 'builder' problems so the creativity isn't flowing at the mo ;) but I did find these in the supermarket.

They're flexible sticks, rather like wax covered string that you can bend into shape.

They make great flower centres.

Let's Craft and Create

I found a new fortnightly challenge blog Let's Craft and Create.  This fortnight's challenge is to create a gift.  I've made a christmas planner.  It's a birthday gift for a friend who's an avid listlmaker., so hopefully she'll like it!  It started out life like this...

and was £1.59 from Wilkinson.  It has hardback covers and the binding holes are the same distance apart as the bind-it-all.  I just covered the back and front covers with patterned paper and bound it with the bind-it all and decorated the front cover.

Learn Something New - Day 1 and 2

I said HERE that I would share some pages of my scrapbooking class.  Here's Day 1 and 2.
I'm enjoying creating just for me!  Learning lots too!  You'll see I haven't ventured into photos and journalling, just journalling for now.  I've used blank postcards for my pages decorated with some my favourite stash and stamps I'd yet to find a use for.

Learn Something New Every Day!

I mentioned earlier this week that I signed up for aa online scrapbooking course, well it's this one HERE.  Learn Something New every day.  The idea is to journal the whole of September so 30 pages!

Here's the front cover of my Mini book.  As I'm a beginner I've kept it small, a 12x12 page seemed a bit daunting.  My book is 4 x 6.  I'm three days into the course and really enjoying it.  It's just starting to click with me what scrapbooking is all about - so exciting.  I'll be back to share some pages of my book soon. Get Funky with Flowers...

Kathy's turn to set the 'Get Funky' theme this month, it's 3D flowers.  For my card I've made a scrunched flower, like the tutorial HERE, but instead of punching the flowers I've cut them from patterned paper.

Pop over to the Get Funky blog to see my team mates wonderful flower creations.
A while a go Anice gave me the opportunity to design a card for a two page advert for Funky Hand, and here it is in print.  It's in issue 25 of Complete Cardmaking.

My 5 mins of fame - Thank you Anice!
